Yummy Sunday + Wild Harvest Pita Chips

On Sunday, after my trail run,  we headed to New Jersey to visit with our good friends Pam and James. What do you bring when you are visiting people who cook AND bake?  Okay, yea, but what if they already have the wine?  Well, Wild Harvest recently sent me some new pita chips to try, so that's exactly what I brought. I even picked up the Hummus Quartet at Trader Joe's the day before and then forgot it.  #Fail!

Luckily for me, the people who cook and bake also keep 2 kinds of hummus on hand, so we decided to try out the Sea Salt and the Parmesan flavor.

They had veggie and garlic hummus, which worked perfectly with the chip flavors.  I thought both the chips were good, although my favorite was the Parmesan flavor and it tasted great with the garlic hummus.

My goddaughter and I discussing the pita chips.  :)
My friend Jenn thought the Sea Salt were the best.  She said they would go with anything... Point taken Jenn.

All in all a success!  Except that we were almost full from pita chips and hummus when Pam started bringing out homemade Stromboli (which is SO easy to make, read: can of pizza dough, shredded mozzarella and pepperoni).

The boy liked the stomboli.
We followed that with a delicious dinner and a snicker doodle pie that was so good that we didn't even wait for it to chill before digging in.

That said, we didn't get to try the cinnamon sugar pita chips.  We did discuss how to eat them though.  Maybe as ice cream scoops or drizzled in fudge?

** Wild Harvest provided me with the samples.  The opinions are my own (and my friends.)
