I had a great Memorial Day weekend close to home. Hubby opened the pool a few days earlier which was great since it was so hot and humid in NY this past weekend. I stayed close to home (read: in the pool) most of the time.

On Saturday morning I did a 4 mile run with some of my new teammates. In April when I did the
High Rock Challenge, I met up with a team that trains together for obstacle course races. It is a great group and I am now an official Shaolin Killah Bee!

That said, I ran the local
Memorial Day run with my team. It was hot and sunny and I was in a tutu with the other "Lady Beez."

In case you ever wondered, yes, the tutu makes you faster! Although the
official race results clock me about 20 seconds longer, Garmin says I did it in 35:09 and THAT is a personal record for me. (I'd love to show you but I cannot figure out how to import information here from Garmin Connect. (Anyone? Help?) It was not easy, but at least I got one PR in for the month of May. If this weekend is any indication of the summer to come, there will likely not be any more PRs until the Fall.
