- L4-5 large broad disc bulge leading to mild to moderate right and mild left lateral recess stenoses.
- L5-S1 smaller bulge without significant stenosis.
- Dextroscoliosis of the thoracolumbar spine.
Is that in English? Because I have no idea what it means. I do know that #3 means that my spine curves to the right. All I know is that for #1-2 the doctor said my options are to do nothing and it will likely heal itself eventually and continue anti-inflammatory med or even surgery. Hmmm, I think I do not like either option. So, I am searching for a good orthopedic in my area and also checking in with a PT and chiropractor that I know to see what they think. I have searched everything I could find online and found nothing encouraging.
I am trying to stay focused on the positive. I continue to go to the gym in the morning and pump the elliptical for 40-50 minutes while I stare at this chick who runs on the treadmill across from me. I want to tell her that I am a runner like her and I should be on the treadmill next to her. I even wear my race shirts to the gyms so people know that I am not on the elliptical by choice. Nothing against though of you who like the elliptical but I am a runner. I want to run!! (Great job staying focused Jen!)
In regular life, it's Friday and that's awesome. Plus I just bought the winning Powerball ticket! It's like $203 million!! Don't worry guys, I'll still blog after I win. I'll blog from Paris, Australia, Spain and then from the comfort of my home in Miami. ;)
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?!?!?!? are you allowed to run??? are you going to need physio??? also if I ask nicely and you do win can you please shoot me 10,000 :D it would pay off our debt! thanks
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your results...I hope you are able to return to running again, soon!
