More Coffee Please

I am so exhausted this week.  I swear that I am still coming down from the general anesthesia at the hospital on Monday.
My sexy hospital outfit :)
I rested that whole day and I cannot wake up, two days later.  Yet, here I am at work.  So, yesterday I went to my new gym, Dolphin Fitness.  I had gone on Friday night to sign up.

Here is my recap of Dolphin Fitness (Amboy Road, SI):  It was seamless.  Two forms to fill out, no credit card info (I have nightmares of gym contracts past) and I was free to work out.  It's a great gym.  I mean, it's missing all the bells and whistles of some NYC gyms, but I do not need a blu-ray player in my elliptical machine.  The main floor is all cardio machines.  There are a few of everything so no one has to wait.  Downstairs is the weight room.  They seem to have all the machines I could possibly want to use and a nice free weight and dumbbell space.  I am still working through my intimidation of weight rooms so I went down there right away to face my fears.  I did some machines that I am familiar with and then some free weights.  It was a Friday night so I was not surprised that it wasn't crowded but the clientele also seems mixed between genders and ages.  All in all, I was definitely pleased with my Groupon purchase.

So, (as I was saying) I went to the gym yesterday morning.  They are open 5 a.m. - 11 p.m. Monday through Friday which is perfect for me!  I got there about 5:10, picked up my membership card and started on the elliptical.  I did 35 minutes on that.
Elliptical - Done!

Then I ran for 3 minutes.  My deal with myself was that I would try to do 2.5 minutes, so 3 was a victory.  But it did not feel good.  So I stopped.
Oh treadmill, how I miss even you!
With that, I need to make it official.  I need to official withdraw from this year's marathon.  However, every time I get to the website, I can't press it.  Help!  I know it's too late for ":what if's" but I cannot seem to do it.  Any advice?

Are you exhausted this week or is it just me?
I need some specific sciatica exercises? Anyone?

  2. General anesthesia does me in for like two weeks, so the fact that you are up and at the gym is amazing. So sorry about the marathon, I'm sure it must be hard. Could you/would you want to walk it?

  3. Ali - You know you love the look. I should have stole it and done a giveaway. :)
SRM - Good. At least I know it's not just me with the anesthesia. Walking is not an option for me.
