Everyone in my office seems like they are in a good mood this morning. Maybe, instead of wondering if they have all gone insane, I will use their positive energy to get me through another Monday. (Realistic, probably not, but it sounds good on paper.) That said, let's recap the weekend.
Saturday I met up with my sister and my gorgeous new nephew. He got some shots on Friday so Saturday was his first real outing. After lots of packing, feeding and preparing (ahh, new moms and new babies), we headed over to meet some friends. With the kids decked out in their costumes, we headed out. We went to a "Halloween festival" which wound up being 5 bouncy houses, a cotton candy stand and a few people in scary costumes. That would have been fine, since my son LOVES bouncy houses, but it was free. Again that might sound perfect, but free in the park on a Saturday means a 1 hour line for 2 minutes in a bouncy house. So, we bribed my son with pizza to head back to my girlfriend's house.

Sunday I took my son to religion class. To kill an hour before he was done, me and the princess got some coffee and donuts (coffee for me, munchkins for her) and headed to the beach. We sat up on the boardwalk and watched random runners go by. It made me very sad since it is my usual weekend long run route.

| Feet, why have you failed me? |

Although, not running gave me time to spend with the kids. So after we picked up the boy, we headed to the park. I went to this cool park that someone told me about. It has a pirate ship (that my son LOVED playing on.)

| She was literally falling asleep. :) |
Then we headed home and I spend most of the day cleaning the house. I know that some people enjoy cleaning. I am
not one of those people. I hate cleaning. I do, however like living in a clean house. So, I do it. And sometimes even while drinking red wine. Don't judge me. It's just more fun that way.
After dinner, hubby and the kids decorated the pumpkin we got last week.

All in all, a successful weekend! (minus running)
Do you carve a pumpkin every year? Do you have any other Halloween traditions?
Do you enjoy cleaning? Want to clean my house?
I carve a pumpkin every year and we usually try pretty hard to make sure they are awesome! We just went out and got most of Lo's costume...still looking for some key pieces
ReplyDeleteI hate cleaning but I do it b/c I hate when my house is dirty
Looks like you had an awesome weekend I love all the costumes :D nice pumpkin!
I didn't carve one this year because my weekends have been crazy! Normally it's a yearly tradition with my sis-in-law though.
ReplyDeleteYou have such an adorable little family!
I would love to carve a pumpkin, but we have nowhere to put one! Tiny apartment. :(
ReplyDeleteYour family is beautiful!
